My monobloc seems to be blowing out fuel into air filter and bike won't start. Got electronic ignition now. Valves and heads all good. Timing marks all good. Any ideas would be great

Could the ignition timing be 360 degree out?

Calvin, that is a classic symptom of incorrect valve timing.

Hi Mark. I'm suspecting that but all the timing marks are still lined up . I tried physically to slip the timing change but would not budge. Cams rockers all seem to be moving in time and sync.

One other possibility is inlet tappets too tight?

Hi Calv, it would be worth checking the 'other tdc', rather than the firing one and see if the inlet valve is just opening and the exhaust valve is just closing by roughly the same, small amounts around tdc. If not, the valve timing is out. Regards, Paul.

Those electronic ignitions are difficult to get dialed in properly. Are you sure the ignition timing is correct?
