Has anyone ever had there timing gear slip on magneto. I'm guessing mine has do to misfiring the other day after running perfect for a hundred miles or so.. but can't understand why the nut was tight and gear was slightly tough to pull off. The mag has been tested and is good.

If the nut was tight and the gear was difficult to pull off, I would think your misfire was probably caused elsewhere.

Why did you not check the timing first? Easy enough.

Just wracking my brain. Could a blockage in the carb cause engine to kick back ??
