Do any of you clever people know if the front and rear hubs of the Electra X are shared with any other models? I need a pair for my latest project if anyone has some for sale?

The rear hub is standard Indian Bullet from 1980 until the last of the Euro 3 EFI models, The front disk brake hub was also fitted to the Indian market Machismo and Thunderbird lean-burn models and the Euro 3 Electra EFI, B5 and C5 EFI models, though there were polished alloy and battle green powder coated variants as well as the silver powder coated. The Euro 4 models with ABS all have different hubs for the front and rear, as do the CGT models.

Thank you Adrian for your very helpful reply, I did suspect that the hubs may have been used on other models. I am dressing my Electra as a trail bike and I am reluctant to break up the existing wheels in case I change my mind - again.

I'm guessing here that you're after a 21" front wheel in this case. If so, don't forget that it will affect the speedo readings. The Electra-X speedo is calibrated for a 19" front wheel with a 2:1 speedo drive. It is possible to move the speedo drive to the back wheel where it would originally have been. It only needs a couple of slots cutting in the hub to match what's on the front wheel and the outer rear spindle spacer thinning down by the thickness of the speedo drive casting (I'd assume you'd use a metal one rather than the plastic effort the Electra-X uses), along with a longer speedo cable, say 66". If our hosts don't stock these for the Indian speedometers, ebay has some.

I have done this with one of my bikes and it works fine.
