I am going to convert my 2003 Royal Enfield 500cc electric start Bullet from left to right hand shifting. I have the right hand shift conversion kit from #90145 from Hitchcock's. This kit includes a "Gear Operator Fork", #16 in the Bullet parts book. Referring to the Pete Snidal workshop manual section for the right hand shift conversion, it has no mention of the gear operator fork. Doing a search online I found instructions for doing this conversion and they also did not mention this part. Do I need to change this part out for the one in the gearbox for the right hand shift to work.

Best bet would be to give them a bell or drop them an email, they are very helpful. I'd imagine if you miss it out, you'll find you have 1 down, 3 up? The parts book does list a seperate selector fork for the left and right hand 4-speed gearboxes. They also give you a replacement operator shaft which is also different.
