Reclaiming C5 Toolbox

Hi all,
As per title, I'd like to reclaim the right hand toolbox on my EFI C5, so guessing I would need to go to a pod air filter. Can anyone recommend an suitable arrangement that wouldn't require £400 to fit a Power Commander or do a carb conversion?

Sadly no. As the fuelling cannot be adjusted by directly remapping the ECU to suit, just fitting a free-flow air filter direct to the throttle body will mess it up, even if there's room. That is what Power Commanders are for (or carb conversions). Unlike some other makes (eg Triumph) on which the owner can directly remap the ECU to suit all sorts of mods using free software, it isn't possible to do this on the RE EFI. I would agree that spending around £400 just for a bit of extra storage space isn't worth it.

The only other option, (which I haven't yet done myself, I hasten to add) is to go for the EJK fuel controller at half the price of a PCV...
Unless anyone knows of any significant disadvantage/incompatibility issues?
