Have a look at this Pathe 'Look at Life' short film about safety developments. Worth watching the whole thing for some great shots of the Way It Was but an anti-lock brake Royal Enfield appears at about 2:40. You Tube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkN2Rr1Ol7Y&t=260s

We had a Dunlop Maxaret system fitted on some XJ6's for a trial in the early 70's. It was developed for aircraft and the kit took up a lot of space in the boot. When you braked hard and locked the wheels up you could feel each wheel momentarily locking then unlocking but it was great being able to steer round corners while braking hard!!

The 6" front brake on my Bullet has quite effective anti-lock properties.
