I got it on ebay, price was good. I can't find a picture of a similar one on an enfield anywhere.

It's a brembo calliper but it's a 2-pot OPPOSED calliper, not sliding pin. The pots are huge. It came with a front wheel, clearly enfield fitment but built on a dinky little hub with the meatiest brake disc you ever saw. The spokes are plated steel which makes me think Indian.

The bracket looks a tad homemade, but well homemade so it's not inconceivable it's an actual enfield part.

The whole thing fits a 2004 bullet very well and the calliper lines up perfectly with the disc, the bracket lined up perfectly with the fork lugs.

The whole thing came with an ugly, chunky magura all-in-one throttle and master cylinder assembly.

It all looks well set up and should be a powerful enough brake, it's just I'll need to get parts for it eventually (pads, discs etc) and I have absolutely no idea what it's off.

It does indeed look exactly like a K75 calliper! Thanks for that. Well, if two will stop a BMW K-series. One of them should stop an Enfield!

A quick check on ebay shows it's a K-series master cylinder too.

Anyone got any thoughts on the hub/disc?

I didn't pay much for this. It was £140 for the wheel, calliper and master cylinder.

Mind you, the disc does look VERY guzzi when I google them. Early californias seem to have had a similar setup with the disc bolted to a carrier by threaded holes in the disc itself.

If you are buying new pads for the caliper please be aware there are two different sizes. The earlier pads up to 09/88 had 55.5 mm backing plates thereafter 57mm.

is it me, or just the photo that makes it look as if it could benefit from some slightly longer disc bolts?

Ric if the bolts were longer they would foul the caliper.

I think you're both right. Longer bolts would foul the caliper but they don't seem far enough into the disc.

I've been looking closely and they've fitted spring washers under the disc bolts. I've nevr seen anyone use spring washers in that application before and I think if they're removed, the bolts will finish just below flush with the disc surface which tallies with pictures of similar seups I've seen.

So I think a strip down is in order, remove those spring washers, loctite the disc and carrier bolts (considering replacing the disc bolts with some high tensile button heads), check what is going on in the centre of the hub, replace the cracked speedo drive (I have a metal one) and fit high tensile bolts to hold the caliper on.
