Hello all. I just pulled apart a 1951 J2 crank only to find that it had been fornicated by the previous owner . Non of it looks useable. My question is can a bullet crank be used in its place or is it completely different?.
Regards Jessie.

Have a look at the on line parts book for a 51 J2, it seems you can get all the crank bits you need. Indian cranks have different shafts.

I was hoping to find something used as all the new bits combined are not within my budget.

Take a look in the Used Parts section - Engines - Crankcases - Model J. There's loads of cases some of which still have their cranks included. There's even a complete engine in the Engines section.
