I have just purchased a pre owned Royal Enfield Bullit 65 that had an after market Speedo, Smiths chronometric Speedo, from Hitchcock.
The issue I have is that the Speedo is showing MPH but the actual speed is KPH. An example would be that when the Speedo shows 40mph, the actual speed is 30mph (tested on a GPS SPEEDO)
Is their any device I can purchase from Hitchcock to convert the speed to MPH?
Thanks

Are you absolutely sure it's a KPH speedo? Some of these items are seriously inaccurate.
I can ride at an indicated 40mph on my OEM 2015 MPH Speedo but it's actually just 33mph.
I consider this a good speedo in comparison to all the factory fitted ones on my previous Enfields and that includes the after market ones which I've fitted myself. My current one only starts getting anywhere near to accurate above 60mph. At an indicated 62 it's 60, at 72 its 70 and at 82 its 80mph and the rev limiter cuts in at an indicated 85mph which we know is 83mph.
My Triumph electronic speedo on the other hand is extremely accurate, within 1 MPH at any speed above 10mph.

It’s a MPH speedo.
Another thin is, the guy changed the front sprocket for a bigger one. Would this affect the accuracy of the speedo.
Thanks for your help.

Bullets have their speedometers driven from the front wheel on later Indian versions, or the rear wheel on Redditch and older Indian Bullets, so anything done to change the original wheel size and/or tyre section will affect speedo accuracy. Swapping gearbox or engine sprockets on their own therefore won't affect the reliability of the speedo reading.

Thanks for the help.
I guess the speedo may be faulty. As they are not too expensive, I will order a new one and try it out.
Thanks again.
