As new is no longer an option, I need to get my SSM 2001 overhauled. Sad to say my past choice over-hauler passed on late last year, I am struggling to find anyone to take this on. (Later magnetic speedos are not a problem, apparently they use different workings.) Any recently used recommendations, preferably UK please?

Thanks but I have not received a reply to my e-mail or had my phone calls answered, is he still in business as he has been recommended by others?

I think Ashley is part retired now? I suggest David Woods, website at http://www.chronometricspeedos.co.uk/ Although the website says Chronometrics they do magnetics too, I recently had a rev-counter for my Series 2 Interceptor done. The business used to be run by Philip, David's dad, who still works and big plus, is a Royal Enfield man and wears his REOC 30 year badge with pride! They always have a stall at the Kempton Park autojumble so you can drop off and collect from them if you don't trust the post.

Ashley Pople has always been a little eccentric?, But does a superb job, and yes the years are passing and he is no longer a young man.
