Right stoopid question coming up... Being a 5 speed gearbox virgin.. Where do I fill up with oil?... Is there a level plug etc?..

The filler/level plug is the one with the gurt spanner on it:-

Hi Tomseaves..... if your 5-speed gearbox is pre-2007 you might want to consider our hosts clutch cable mod found on page 55 of the current catalogue...

On my 5 speed gearbox the small level plug, hex head cover bolt, does not work. It does not go through into the gearbox and so the oil can not come out of it. It must have been made wrong when the gearbox was being made. I just fill the gearbox up until the oil is just going to come out of the filler plug and this is my level. I have had no trouble filling the gearbox this way.

I also have a RE 5 speed gearbox.
My RE Owners Manual recommends filling the gearbox as per mauri's message above.

The gearbox now has oil thanks...
2 more simple questions.. 1)What's best way to fit the cable?
2) what actual size is the 5 speed gearbox sprocket nut?..
