Mr. GT the cat is my test rider !!----------The bars will fit on directly with no need to alter any cables etc...The bike actually handles much better IMHO and you'll have a more upright riding position compared to the standard bars so less loading on the small of your back........I'm 68 and appreciate that improvement very much !!

Toecutter - please not that your bike and the one featured in the last reply are entirely different.

Hi Guys-----how's the shop Wayne ??---Re}--My last rely, yes the bikes as a whole is different but from what I've seen the handlebar clamping is still the same......I did make it clear that mine was a Bullet '65 and so not the C5 that our friend owns..........here's a top view of a 2015 C5 -----> ----->

Hi I have a C5 and I suspect you could raise the bars without altering the clutch and throttle cables but you would need a longer brake line. I was going to fit risers to mine but I have replaced by brake line with braided hose and don't really want to shell out again for another longer one so have left as is.

Hi Guys----Hi Andy,... Some years ago now I fitted a complete disc brake conversion to my previous Bullet '65 using items taken directly ( Legally !! ) from a working bike in India supplied by some bloke called Henry down in Gloucester way....( No names--no "Pack Drill" eh ?? )....The calliper, flexi-hose and master cylinder units were still assembled as one and went straight onto my Bullet '65 which had already been fitted with those bars I mentioned.......Now I don't have any direct experiences with a C5 as yet but I'd wager my Aunt Fanny's left toe nail that those bars will be OK............Maybe Mr.H. will let you have a set on a "Sale-or-Return" basis ??

Thanks for all your responses. I fitted today the Hitchcocks Braced bars, 91/371. I removed the seat and tank to reclip all the cables. I did not have to change any of the original cables, although I do have an after market stainless brake line fitted. The only tricky part was drilling two holes in the bars to secure the plastic pins on each switch cluster. I still need to get a replacement left hand grip has I had to cut off the original one. I have a photo but don't know how to add it to the reply.

Sorry Toecutter----I'd forgotten about those two stubs you mentioned.....They stop the grip etc from rotating in an emergency....I've actually fitted the other, alternative bars from Mr. H ( Item No. 93051 ) which are a bit more straighter but give the same lift......
