Like it, but the engine layout is the mirror image of all other bikes. Kind of bugs me at the moment, maybe its something to get used to.

Well they could have put a false casting on it to replicate the early Interceptor, bit like Kawasaki and their W400/650/800 range replicating another manufacturers timing chest

I like the 1967 to look at the best. On the new bike they are already calling the engine side cover the "boiled egg".

I don't trust the unsubstantial new center stand, and the reversed engine layout bugs me too.
The old bike is just so pretty by comparo.

Where is the kick starter. I would have thought that it would have had one.

if you go to the team bhp forum the disbelief and disapproval is rampant about the new twin.
this while very few people has seen them op close, and non of them has ridden one.
yet if there's anything a have learned in the 30 odd years of riding and working on motorcycles.
is that the first haters are also the first buyers.
and will afterward says it the best there is and attack anybody who claims to the contrary.
people are funny that way

Hats off to royal enfield for making real motorcycles and from what I can see they have done a fine job on the interceptor.
