Hi has anybody got any idea what the letter L stands for in the wiring diagram for the euro4 classic 500; the colour coding is not keyed on the diagram that comes with the bike and to make matters worse they do not tally with what is fitted to the bike !! typically the "roll over sensor" is shown as being B/L,L/W,and,O/BR normally the second letter indicates the tracer colour and as fitted the B/L is Black with a white tracer; the O/BR is orange with a brown tracer; but the L/W doesn't make sense since the last wire is Grey with an orange or red tacer; to make amtters worse the diagram also shows L/P,L/BR,L/W,L/B,L/Y,L/B and so on; can anybody help?

The Roll-over on mine is colour coded Grey/White & Red/Blue.


L = Left?


L always used to represent LIGHT, as in a colour shade...




Are you referring to the type 'L' coupler, as on the flasher connection?


The only other L on my wiring diagram is the LG ~ Logic Ground.


Ask your local agent, as it may be a specific for the UK market that I am not familiar with.

In general terms for some perverse reason L in many wiring diagrams means light blue.
Wiring color code is shown with alphabetical letter/s. The first letter indicates the
basic color for the wire, and the second letter indicates the spiral line color.
B = Black
Br = Brown
G = Green
Gr = Gray
L = Light Blue
Lg = Light Green
O = Orange
R = Red
W = White
Y = Yellow
Example: RG is for Red and a Green line.
