Building a motor up for my RE350. Purchased a NEW complete crank from the Indians. It had to be pressed apart to fit an Alpha crank pin and bearing. Found that the screw that holds the serrated lock ring that in turn holds the timing shaft nut from coming loose was stripped and only holding by 1 to 2 threads. If I had not had to take the crank apart I would not have seen this. The crank was advertised as complete and ready to use. This screw would have come out letting the screw and the lock ring fall into the bottom of the crank where it would have done all kinds of damage. It seems that you have to check every thing that comes from India.

Things can fall off inside as well as outside? The mind boggles; and that`s not all that boggles if it happens on the motorway at 70mph.
