Swingarm bracing?

Anyone gone down the road of bracing the swingarm on their bullet? My current project is intended to land up with a pretty hot engine and I'm wondering if it's worth beefing things up around this area? My current bullet doesn't seen to flex much under drive out of a corner but at around 15bhp, it probably isn't under much stress.

If I'm going to do it, now would be the time while I have a bare frame in one hand and the swingarm in the other.

If you did, what kind of bracing did you go for? Did it make much difference? Any "schoolboy errors" to watch out for like not being able to get the chain on afterwards etc.

Our 350 racer puts 33 BHP @ rear wheel through an early type Crusader swingarm, well, the whole Crusader type frame in fact. It does speeds of up to 115 MPH, gets thrown into corners hard and wins races without any modifications to the rather spindly looking swingarm, so, it might not be neccessary ...

Good to know, cheers. It is a pretty heavy-duty bit of tube when all is said and done. It's also pretty short as swingarms go.

I'm just trying to think of these things now. It's far easier to do them BEFORE you get everything cleaned up, painted and assembled.
