I have just ordered some Led bulbs to replace all of the instrument lights on my 2012 G5. Does anyone know if the indicator tell tale light will work with an LED bulb or will I have to stick to the ordinary bulb. Thanks in advance.

Apparently you can get special LED bulbs for that or wire two 1N4001 diodes into the left and right hot leads to the one bulb's LED wire and ground the bulb's other wire. I got a dozen on Ebay for $3 and the soldering is minimal. It worked great on my 2000 bullet.
Here is a link to a diagram showing the mod on a Nina 250. The wiring is similar to the Bullet.

These are "plug-and-play":

I use the 4-LED ones (second on the page) on both a 2005 and a 2011 C5.

Good point Neddy.
They are a boon if you have a low output alternator or as our Flash & a Box a Lucas E3l - 6V 60W output.
But for anything else?

If you get good quality LED bulbs, they are much less sensitive to vibration and popping.
An interesting one is also the lag time. An LED brake light comes on 1/5 of a second quicker than a filament bulb. Doesn't sound much but it equates to 17ft at 60mph...

That is an unexpected advantage of LEDs. But let's hope rider's and "respondent's" reaction time is equally quick.

I added LEDs so I could see the dang lights. They're so much brighter than the filament bulbs!
I was gonna add a signal buzzer but now I see the light. The two LED casquette eyes are also brighter.

The last time I had a bulb "pop" was the Bullet stop/tail during a sea voyage from Philadelphia to Bootle. Was OK when I prepped it for the container but not when it was unloaded & got ready for the ride home.
As for the 0.20 of a second illumination time lag ......................
