Hi just wondering if any one can help. Had compression on Kick start lever at 11 o clock . Now it will only compress at 6 o clock . Kick start lever hasn't moved on external spines and as it springs back up the clicking noise it used to have had vanished!!. Many thanks calv

As Paul said.


While you may have never noticed it, you have been accidentally touching the kstart lever with your right heel/calf as you ride along.


The Cranked Kstart lever fitted to latter Bullets, needed to clear the extra long muffler, puts the lever too close to ones right foot; only a slight degree of Kstart lever movement while the bike is on the road, and premature wear to the Kstart pawl is the end result.


If you have a long header pipe and shorter muffler fitted, consider a Straight leg Kstart lever...

I'm not sure if this is the case! just probably the age of the 59 constellation pawl has finally worn out .
