Just checked the miles per gallon (UK) on my old 350 and it works out at 91.5 MPG! Astonishing. Bike is fitted with an Amal concentric and 35,000 miles on the clock. This is mixed riding over the course of a week.

Convert it to a 500, fit EFI and get over 100

I'll blieve that Ric but the old carb models throw away more than they burn 😀

I only plod about on it...don't think I've been above 50mph lately...lots of short journeys. Probably would have been 100mpg if I didn't have to tickle the carb

There is something about concentric carbs I think as I get over 80mpg from my B44 which amazed me. They are a flimsey bit of kit but they are clearly pretty efficient.
