Hi guys just woundering what emergency kit you all carry on you while out ant about on your bikes regarding puncture repair kit and those cans to blow tyres back up ect also anything else

I carry a little can of the liquid repair goop and a small hand pump I found in the local spares store..

So far, I've rescued two fellow motorcyclists with the pump..

Too old & farked to be doing roadside things, I carry a mobile phone.

aerosol can of gunk, and a mobile phone in case it doesn't work. But tbh, I've been covering around 6-8,000 miles a year for over 40 years and only had 1 puncture (in 1982, I think, Suzuki GS850). What was that about tempting fate,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,?

I usually carry tyre levers, puncture repair outfit, spare tube and a pump, as well as a mobile phone. I have fixed punctures at the roadside in the past but can't say I would forward to doing it nowadays.

Hui Guys-----------SLIME or GLOOP but would dearly love one of those pumps !! ( Mobile phone and a packet of TREBOR XXX mints )...

My emergency repair kit consists of some spare lengths of wire, insulation tape, spare fuses (lots) and a circuit tester.

Currently gloop and the guts of an electric compressor.

The gloop will going once I can get shot of the ******* Avon TL tyres. I'd like to seal the rims and go back to a mushroom plug kit, but suspect it'll have to be tubes and levers with TT Heidenaus. I can't be doing with temporary repairs and mess but the gloop is the only solution with the OE set up.

My rear is disc, so it'll be a few years before alloys are available and even then I'd want a UK supplier, so I won't hold my breath as the fashionistas and weekend warriors will be screaming for spokes.

Except for my ancient Triumph all the bikes I've owned in the last 10 years have had tubeless tyres. Now both moderns - and Inuse the term loosely - my C5 and Thruxton have tubeless tyres but are fitted with tubes, arguably the worst of all worlds. Although I cart repair kit and tyre levers around on a longer trip I suspect when (if) it came to it I would avail myself of the breakdown services that I pay for. I seriously doubt that I could remove a tubeless tyre from the rim - maybe just about on the C5 but not the alloy rims of the Thruxton. A lot of our Merikan chums favour sealing the spokes with rim tape. I'm considering this option - I've never had much luck with gloop; does it really work on tubed tyres? Does Tyreweld? I doubt it. BMW have the answer with the way they lace their rims.
