Maybe it`s the lighting, or the dull casings, they look old already.

I suspect they are test machines in "mufti."

I'm thinking the dulled down look is to avoid drawing too much attention to the machines while they are being developed. It's camouflage. Notably, there are no real markings on the tanks or casings... No badges.. etc.

OK.. closer inspection by magnification.. It does say "Royal Enfield" on the casing...
