2017 GT headlamp

I have just noticed my bike seems to have an extra small lamp in the headlamp. I am guessing this is a parking lamp of some of some kind. Do they all have this or has mine been shipped within old stock headlamp unit ?

2017 euro 4 continental GT, noticed today his small lamp in the very bottom of the headlamp it on all the time, dip or main beam

To comply with euro 4, all m/cycles must have automatic headlamp illumination - that is on all the time, this set up is to comply with this.
