Hi everybody I need some help is there somewhere I can get a wiring diagram to wire the horn/dip switch (lu/31563) into my 2001 bullet 500? I have it wired in but my lights are pulsing,, there is a wire left over from my previous cluster for the third momentary position not being used now. my old LH cluster had hi beam low beam and a momentary flasher all the way slid up and no headlight off if that helps,, I used the universal indicator switch for my blinkers (92032a) that works great

Hi it is pulsing with the engine running and my amp meter
Jumping around also,,,parking lights also flickering.
Never did that wit the old switch.. Also lights go on when bike is stared,,

Pulse is the same with or without the indicator :-/

The amp meter is the only light that ever goes on till it's kicked over also

That suggests to me the power for the lights is not coming direct from the battery. (If that make sense to you, in other words the lighting is direct with out the battery smoothing out the current.)

66 triumph was like that,,, but if it didn't do it befor
With the other swich why would it happen now....
I did try it first with the wrong wire and it acted
Like a kill swich,, I used the wire with the most current
wich was the wrong one,could I have blown some
Sort of fuse and that's why??

Actually, yes! The headlight on the post 1999 classic Bullets runs directly off the alternator. The alternator stator has six coils or windings, half of them feed into the regulator/rectifier as on a normal system and power the ignition, side, stop and tail lights, horn and indicators. The remaining coils feed into an AC regulator and power ONLY the headlamp and the main beam warning light.



The AC wiring should be kept entirely isolated from the rest of the electrics, EVEN THOUGH the left-hand switch cluster physically accommodates both!
