Has anyone put a electronic ignition systen on a twin? I've got a Pazon system on my 64 Interceptor, the engine is standard comp pistons, std cams and rebuilt Amal Monoblocks, the book says 32degrees BTDC. I find this is far too far retarded, and have ended up advancing it around 4 degrees on the cam. This lets it run and pull much better. Any comments? Thanks Mick

I've got a Pazon on S2 Interceptor. It uses standard timing, starts easily and runs well.

I notice Pazon's instructions for the Sure-Fire kit, page 8 (I guess that's the one, you didn't say which of their kits you have fitted) shows different timing figures for the more common British twins, 31° full advance for Norton, 34° for BSA and 38° for Triumph, so 36° doesn't look unreasonable, especially if your bike runs happily without pinking.
Did you try contacting Pazon?

What cams and inlet sprocket are fitted? This can make a big difference. REgards, Mark

My ’59 Constellation has a Pazon and runs very well on the recommended timing. Also starts well, which is a bonus!
