Catagory "C"

More brain picking please. I've done some research and it would seem that a repaired motorcycle (cat."C") can be back on the road if it has an MOT. So my bike is weeks old and doesn't need an MOT for a couple of years. Do I just repair and ride off? And does the DVLA have a record that needs changing to change catagory "C" to something?
Switching subject, A lot of things got bent with the "rear ending". Unfortunately it's ABS disc teritory and our hosts are still trying to catch up with the new stuff. They have put me on to a good wheel builder so that is delt with and I'll have to wait for sub frame and mudguard. Anyway to check the swinging arm I need a true spindle and mine has a bend in it (just a little one) I'm told that these can be "trued" up but the question is where? Anyone had this done and by whom please?

Once a Cat C, always a Cat C ? But with an MOT you have the proof that's it's been repaired satisfactorily to a roadworthy standard and can be used on a highway again.

that's my guess anyway. The best person to ask is probably going to be an MOT tester.
