Hi
I've just stripped and rebuilt a bullet I bought a year ago ,I've rebuilt the engine and gearbox ,just tried to start it but no luck ,I have a spark when I kick it over I get a lot of wheezing .

I have tried putting petrol in the head and it kicked then how do I check the carb is working and also I've seen that as I kick it over the ammeter should move but can't see anything
The wiring is a mystery as the colors don't seem to match any diagram but seem to just plug together so I think that's all ok
Any help would be appreciated
Howard

You can see the plug sparking outside the engine, but they don't always do it inside. Have you tried a BRAND NEW one, not just and old cleaned-up plug?
It can make the difference.... and anyway is easy to try and possibly eliminate. -C

Howard, that's a big ask, it would be almost impossible to guess what you may or may not have got wrong when rebuilding the engine, however a couple of things to recheck?, Is the valve timing correct?, Does the spark occur on the compression stroke?, it could be 180deg out,
