I bought some clear braided oil pipe for mine, looks better than the rubber and you can also see if any vapour is entering the air box.

I bought a blanking plug off eBay for the airbox and fitted with the original clip and used a crankcase vent filter.
Looks better and stops all that hot vented air from going back in the airbox.
I fitted the airbox upgrade plate and filter at the same time and it made a real difference.

Just out of interest Hoddy (or anyone else) what is the diameter of the breather outlet on your CGT? It looks quite large on the photo.
The reason I ask is that I have a 1996 500 iron barrel which has but a 1/4" diameter breather which is adequate only up to ~3000rpm. I drilled it out to 8mm and it was better up to ~4000rpm but above that, when accelerating through the gears or on a downslope the bike easily exceeds 5000rpm (roller bearing bigend, high cap oil pumps, 535cc, alloy barrel, steel conrod, twin plug) and oil comes out of many places which are normally dry.
Cheers, ChrisD
