Am sure I've glimpsed this theme before here, but is it just vanity to install
a 0-60 oil gauge from some Twin crankcase outlet, Or is the oil pressure too feeble
to even register. Besides, if actually installed, from either a union threaded
into the oil filter cap, or off the tappet feed lines ?. Often see pre-unit Triumphs
boppers with this accessory, although hardly visible down near your ankle

Better to fit an oil temperature gauge, pressure is not important; Chevrolets had oil pressure of only 6 psi. If the oil level gets too low and starts to overheat, the temperature gauge indicator will start to move quickly. The indicator stays steady, unlike one on a pressure gauge.

Utterly right, Leon, every beater car I have ever owned had more
attention given the temp gauge in sweltering summer traffic,
(including Brisbane in my youth) than the oil gauge if it ever Was
installed. I might add, your superb installation is quite convincing,
perched up on the blinker stub. Thank you for posting the pix!

If it drips oil, then it has oil. If it stops dripping, then check level as a matter of urgency.
