A nice easy question. How long would it normally take to change a set of head bearing. Its nice up here today an am tempted to go out on the bike. The bearings need changed before I put it up for sale.

"How long does it take...?" is one of those questions like, "How hard can it be...?" or "What could possibly go wrong...?"

Forgot to mention that. Its a 2005 electra x. Its only being sold because I have a himalayan on order

Are you sure they need replacing? What are the symptoms? It may be only adjustment needed, 12 years old sounds relatively low mileage for complete replacement. Unless Indian components are really poor?!

I'd wait 'til you get the Himalyan if I were you - might want to keep the Electra!

The bearings have a notchy point at straight ahead. If I was keeping it I wouldn't bother till the winter. Besides its only about £26.00 for standard bearings. As for the comment on the Himalayan, I doubt it could be as much trouble as the electra when I first got it😊😊😊
