Hi all. My 59 Connie has fitted with a 1 1/8" bore 389 monobloc by a previous owner. I know it should be 1 3/16", but all the internal jets, throttle valve cutaway and needle are all to original connie specs. Should I leave things as they are or should I change any parts to compensate the reduced bore.

Hi Dez, if it runs ok, leave it, it is only a very minor reduction in diameter, at worst you might lose 1 or 2 mph on the top speed, which is unlikely to be a problem unless you want to race it of course! Regards, Paul.
