Gear selection adjustment

Does anyone know a systematic method for adjusting the gear selection ratchet on a 4-speed box? 1989 350.
I suggest you read the Albion Gearbox Rebuild article in Technical Notes (left sidebar). It's the end of section 4 and section 5 you need.
