Am I right in assuming this is the frame number on my connie. The only number at the top of the front downtube
is 4-60 would this denote the month and year of the bike because it was registered in 1960.there is also a 4 fig number at the
bottom of the downtube 5336.The numbers on the engine are in 2 places. front crankcase below cylinders AGF 468,and L/H SIDE of
crankcase above primary drive and below cylinders either SB or S13
10482 ( would this be correct)?

Walter, the frame number should be on the left side of the headstock if you were sitting on the bike. Some, but not all frames have a manufacture date, 4-60 indicating April 1960. Sometimes there is a letter, B for Bullet for instance. Do not confuse the casting number on the headstock, the actual frame number is stamped, not cast. The engine number is on the left side of the case under the barrel, SB 10482 sounds right. The other number is the number of the gearbox originally fitted, this should be the same as on the top of the gearbox case if it hasn't been changed. For some reason only the Twins had this, Bullets didn't.
