Model G I think but this was quite a long running engine. It started as the Model G pre-War and was effectively the pre-War 350 Bullet. It became the WD/CO as a military bike and then re-appeared as the Model G again after the War. There were various detail changes over the 10 odd years of production and some ex-WD bikes were tarted up and sold as Gs immediately after the War. What is the number(s)?

Tony, that seems to be an early number, it might even be pre-War, say 1939?

Hi, the gearbox on the right is not from a bullet, its the type fitted to 250 clipper pre dating the crusader range.Vince

Gearbox on the left probably belongs to the Model G engine in the picture above. The one on the right is probably from a 250 Clipper from about 1955 to 1957. The post-War Bullet is a semi-unit engine which means that the gearbox bolts directly to the back of the crankcases. If you are looking for a Bullet gearbox it should look like this one (Used2198) in the Used Parts section on this site.

Hello, the engine is a postwar one, as it has the oil filter on the timing case. The gearbox is effectively the left one (the right one seems for me newer, as it has the selector lever on the same axle as the kick pedal.
Hope it will help you
Claude
