I'm not normally a stickler for accuracy but as it costs no more to get it right and it's unlikely I'll be doing it again I'd quite like to get the frame and associated bits powder coated with the correct colour or near enough.
I'm rebuilding my '52 Bullet and if any of you experts could help me with the following it would be greatly appreciated. I believe the frame should be light grey, which would also apply to the swinging arm and lifting handle. But what about the engine and gear box plates, which are currently black and all the other assorted brackets such as the battery and air filter box clamps?
Most of the tin work is also light grey but is it the same shade as the frame?
If anyone knows the paint codes that would be most useful.
Yes I do know the frame would originally have been stove enameled but that is one of many concessions to more modern technology I will make whilst trying to keep the overall appearance as correct as I can.
