Seasons greetings! I posted a comment recently that it is far too easy to ground the right hand brake pedal on my Classic EFI. "Design fault," said Tim from NZ. I agree, so sat and contemplated said offending item, prepared a cardboard template, and hot-foot with pedal to see local good guys (Firefox, Keighley) Discussed with them what I wanted to achieve. "Give us a couple of days," they said. So I did and collected amended pedal today. Now it is only spot welded so far, but it seems to fit perfectly. It hugs the exhaust pipe snugly, and seems to give better ground clearance. I'll take it back tomorrow for final welding, and then re-chroming. I am an absolute duffer with IT, but if anyone is interested I'll take some photos, and some lessons, and post them here. Scaly, I might be turning to you for advice here if anyone shows any interest!

At one time too would have stuck the wretched thing in the vice and reached for a blow torch and big hammer. In my decling years I have learnt a little cowardice!

Does the c5 classic have the silly 18 inch wheels, if so could be the problem my b5 dont scrape anything but has 19 inch wheels. Just a thought.

Unfortunately my B5 scrapes its brake pedal as well.

My Electra EFI has 19 inch wheels. I'll be trying out adapted pedal early 2017 on nearest quiet diesel free roundabout. Await ss rear spindle spacer from local engineer before reassembly commemces
