Hello,

Can the rocker covers be removed without removing the petrol tank?

They are a bit lack lustre, are they made of alloy, can they be polished?

Thank you.

David

Are we talking an iron barrel engine? If so, yes, they polish up nicely and a coat of engine lacquer keeps them nice. I don't think you'll get them off with the tank in situ.

The inlet one is a bugger to remove evan with the tank off. It could do with a fraction off the rear stud and a decent chamfer on the underneath of the corresponding hole. After you get it off of course!

[center]I guess that wether the 350 or your 65, the tanks are the same, undo the front nuts slide the stud out, disconnect fuel pipe, and tank comes up and off!

Very easy. If you were bored in the evening for instance, you could simply whip the tank off and take it dancing!

Much better then trying to perform keyhole surgery on a bullet which can only lead to cuts in fingers and scratched alloy/paint!
