I'm sure I haven't invented this but....
I was just fitting a new tubeless tyre to a small trailer wheel. As usual the problem is not getting it on, it's getting the beads to seal so you can inflate it.
Having messed about with this one foe half an hour I put a ratchet strap round the circumference of the tyre and tightened it up.
Instant success!
Whether it would work with a bigger tyre I don't know.

washing up liquid is your friend, smeared around the rim of the wheel where the tyre seats and on the tyre where it seats on the rim, before attempting to fit the tyre. Also a ratchet strap is handy.

Oh I used soap, which certainly helps fitting and also can just seal the bead enough to start inflation. On this occasion it just wouldn't play.

My mechanic friend swears by Tallow, a natrual fat type stuff, however; be warned that it can attract dogs who then duck you bike up.!!!!!! (duck spelt wrong).

I once fitted a new tubeless tyre to my VF400F in the mid eighties - I used washing up liquid and had to work fast and take several attempts, as I only had a bicycle pump to hand, but did it eventually!! Regards, Paul.

Washing up liquid is rather saline & not kind to metal. Tyre soap is the best way & is not expensive, see 98370 TYRE LUBE (250ml) ) Ratchet strap round tubeless tyre to seat the beads is an old dodge I remember from too many years ago

Yes the salt in washing up liquid will cause corrosion on the rim.

I don't know what washing up liquid you lot are using, but there is no sodium chloride in the washing up liquid I use. I have been using it for years to enable fitting together of all kinds of automotive related bits and pieces with no problems whatsoever.

There probably are some washing up liquid's that don't contain sodium chloride (salt) but I think you will be hard pushed to find them.

I saw a film of off-roaders in Iceland; they bedded big balloon tyres back on rims by squirting a bit of lighter fuel in the tyre then chucking a match from a safe distance - one big pop and the tyre was back where it belonged! I expect it's on u-tube somewhere.....
