Not Stuck Axle Nut

Further to Brazilla's stuck axle nut post, am I the only one with a front axle nut that has a tendency to actually undo itself a bit?

If not, you may - like me - have had to remove the front wheel to tighten it up. Which is a bit of a pain.

However, while spinning around on my chair in the office, I realised that a super slim spanner might do the job, so I spent 20 minutes, or so, drawing one up in CAD with a mind to getting one laser cut in 2mm steel.

Luckily, before I could send off the file to Lasermaster for a quote, a bicycling friend of mine pointed our that what I had actually designed was called a Cone Wrench in the bicycling world and - having parted with about a tenner for a 26mm Park Tool Cone Wrench - I can now tighten the nut, with zero fuss, whenever it takes my fancy.

Anyhoo, others may be way ahead of me on this one, but I thought I'd share just in case I've had an original idea for the first time in my life. :)

Making one is a waste of milk - Park Tools bicycle spanners are super-slim and can be had in large metric sizes. Loctite!
