'50 Redditch gearbox kick pedal attached to a twin motor protruding from
under the work bench abour 8" sometime, and sure enough, tripped on same,
and broke shoulder on the concrete floor. Of course, just before the other
elbow was shattered in another fall. Anyway,I noticed besides trials Enfields
of the same period used folding kick pedals presumably with the same fine
toothed approx. 5/8-3/4" spline and stud. Wondering if later folding kick pedals
and/or the Indian folding ones are compatible, although they have different shaft
configarations, and maybe smaller spline diameter. Just wondering for a simple
solution before cutting original and welding any folding pedsl on the lever.
Thanxs, lads

Hi, the Indian pedal will fit. They are a slightly different curve on the shaft. The late boxes all control levers interchange if you have an early box with external clutch lever only the kick start fits.Vince.

Thanxs,Vince, for your helpful response, Never was happy with the rigid kick pedal.
other 'bikes stored around the garage all have unobtrusive folded pedals offending
neither man nor beast. As long as the Indian one has the fine toothed spline, will
get one over winter
