Could anyone point me in the direction of a single seat for a C5 bullet? Having extensively tested the dual seat mine came with I cannot find a way to avoid the seat ridge poking me uncomfortably. I've thought about having it reprofiled but a single seat would allow me to fit a rack which would be useful. Unfortunately I can't find the standard c5 seat listed here, and eBay listings are patchy at best! Any tips or suggestions welcome ad always, thank you.

Single seat is listed in the Parts Book On Line.
Code: 591066
That's just the seat, then you need all the springs and fixings unless you can re-use some from your duel seat.

Rather than in Accessories, standard parts are cunningly hidden in the Parts Book Online http://www.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/pa ... t_Assembly_

I have a C5 and I am trying to figure out where the ridge is? What ridge? The dual seat I tried had very similar profile to the solo seat - do you mean the piping? The solo seat does not have piping.

The pillion frame (13) will take a rack if you remove the rear seat cushion (14)

Beware of the rubber bush (3) fitments under the front seat, the bracket on the frame prevents fitting some of the other seats. To fit the pukka solo seat you would need all fittings and fixings(phone Hitchcocks) but do check that you have the frame bracket to take the rubber bush; this bracket is not shown on the frame diagram but is very obvious if you look under the seat, it is a big square lump.

It is possible that some Limited Edition C5s are built without the bracket on the frame to take the solo seat, they use different seats; or that the bracket maybe removed to fit the dual seat (I myself have carved off the top corner of the bracket to lower the seat).

Thanks all, hadn't spotted the parts book (which, in hindsight, was a fairly obvious place!). Not cheap are they!!!

Jefrs, the seat is an odd one, I'd looked at quite a few enfields before buying an hadn't seen this seat on any others. It's basically the same profile as the single seat, with the pillion pad attached to the same base and mounded from the same foam. Looks quite nice but the transfer from seat to pillion has a ridge in the foam of maybe an inch that stops me sliding backwards into a more comfortable position. It definately isn't one off a B5, the ridge is much less prominent and it doesn't bulge out at the sides.

Cost of having it reprofiled is about the same as buying a replacement, so I think I'll whip it off and check for the rubber bit before making a decision.
