Hi all, I have just been giving the Enfield the once over. I was suprised to see its going to need another new rear tyre. This one has only lasted about 2500 miles. The tyre is a mitas 08 . So how many miles are you getting to a rear tyre?

Avon Roadriders on all the Enfields, and only 4000 max rear, 6000 front. Softer compounds, better grip, compromise is more regular changing. I always remind myself the only thing between me and the unforgiving Tarmac are the tyres so I never penny pinch.

When I think about what is between me and the tarmac, I like to include the seat. Makes it all seem nicer somehow.

But yes, tyres very important and Tornado's front is looking a little low on the tread...

The 2000 Bullet gets about 25000kms from both Avon tyres.

Hi Davie. Running a rear Mitas E08 on my Guzzi. Very soft compound, M&S mud and snow designated tire. The tread has nearly disappeared in the middle, and bike is starting to slip whilst navigating bends. I shall have to replace it as soon as possible. 3500 miles.

Got an advisory on the rear roadrider last year, 3000 miles..

Now trying a pair of K70's..

So 3-4K seems about average..

Some 2000+miles on the RoadRiders with even wear, nowhere near shot yet. Occasionally less wet grip than I'd like, so I'm considering Avon Trail Riders which are M&S. I've got M&S Contis on the car, they do make a difference.

Mitas are Czech/Slovenian aka Savatech. They make forklift tyres. I would not expect good wear. Slightly confused - the Mitas E-08 is shown as a summer tyre.
