I have bought a Goldie exhaust system for my '89 350, and wht a quality piece of kit it is! I haven't fitted it yet, but I'm interseted to see it has our hosts baffle in the tail.
I expect I will experiement with standard configuration, bent tangs and no baffle at all!
What have people experienced with this? I have a 26mm Amal MK1 concentric carb, can anyone give me a starting point for jetting, particularly the needle?

Hi JOHN R ( Not related ??)-----have a look in our host catalogue as they give some good starting points regarding exhaust, silencer, jetting, air filter type etc. Standard convention for needle description is, with the "pointy bit" held downwards then the grooves are numbered from the top. Usually there is 5---but not always. Start with the clip in No3 position..ie.the centre one. That way you will have the option to richen OR weaken. My recent experience with those baffles AS SUPPLIED is that they are too short so don't give very much muting, if any !!. You can get much longer ones on E-bay shops. Pay good attention to your MAIN JET SIZE as this is of paramount importance ---especially more so with the open system. Please remember that the air filter also has to be considered in the whole equation.Do please read the tech. notes that our hosts have provided.
