2008 electra brake light

can someone help my bake light bulb has blown so i put a new bulb in but it still does not work i have checked the fuses and the obvious but it still refuse to work ! can anyone help ,i have the mot next week !

If it's anything like my conti GT I'd inspect the wiring under the rear mudguard for chafing by the rear wheel.

Also after checking what CGT535 said. If your rear/tail light is still working check the rear light brake switch and connections in between. May be just a bad switch or corrosion on connections.

Check the new bulb as well. Just because it's new doesn't mean it works. Check continuity with a meter or connect it to a known good 12v source.

I would check the switch is working, mine stopped working as the bracket the switch was on had moved very slightly when i was working on bike, is it one with the wire that pulls on the switch? pull the wire with some pliers and see if it comes on?
