anyone know the size of the banjo bolt thread on the master cylinder (electra )

as i want to replace it with a hydraulic switch ,, the ones in the end of the banjo bolt .

i have done this on my Harleys ,, to stop the flickering brake light .

The master is most probably a Minda which is pretty much a copy of a Brembo, so the banjo should be pretty much standard size and metric.

I assume you're getting flickering when the brake is not pulled. I haven't checked today but from playing with the thing before I have half an idea the stock switch mechanism has some adjustment.

I would check the existing mechanism before buying parts. I've swapped bars a few times, had the thing off the bars, and I have adjusted the clutch switch for cable slack and adjustable levers so it says the clutch /is/ disengaged when pulled in - but I still have not peered at the front brake to inspect. If it is anything like the clutch switch there should be a small amount of adjustment for sensitivity.

Most of the parts on an RE can be adjusted, some pretty wide tolerances on fittings in places, which can lead to assembly errors.

just received the new switch/ banjo fitted it now works fine ,,,, i tend to ride with my fingers on the leaver so with the type of micro switch its a bit sensitive.the hydraulic type only works with pressure ..

i have used this type over the years on my Harleys as they have the same type micro switch,,

just to say the original micro switch is £11+vat and carrage

the banjo brake switch was £7,50p inc post and vat

so cheaper and works better
