I've just bought a 2010 Bullet Electra. Bullet being the hardness of the seat, any ideas for an alternative?

Engine tick over erratic, anybody any ideas on how to fix it? Also, has anyone raised the sprocket ratio for easier cruising?

Hello
Suggy

Now my bike's a 350 std iron head but the Principle is proberley the same ;0)

I have spent a Fortune trying different seats, From Single Sprung to King Queen, To E-Bay 1950's
Forget the Looks! (Single Sprung looks V Nice) I have Ended up Each Time Back with the Original that then seems quite Comfy...

So My Final thoughts & yet to do it is :IF You are of vintage Years,Damaged,Or Both.. I Am Going to Try A Custom filled Seat, Mixture of Memory foam,Gell & Extra Padding & Leather cover IF I Can.

What I am Trying to Say Is : "Improve what you have to Suite you ! : Mass Produced seats Just Suite The Mass Produced ASSeS Out there,...

OH! And Let us Know If You ever Find the Ultimate Comfy Seat...... ;0)

Cheers all..

Suggy, I've put the 18t front sprocket on my 2010 Electra and it cruises nicely all day at 60-65mph, and is quite happy to bang along at 70 when required to. Much more relaxed at that speed than with the stock sprocket.
The other efi Bullet, the single seat Classic, has the 18t sprocket as standard I believe (different wheels) but this can be changed to 19t with similar results.
I'm happy with the dual seat on my bike, but have been looking at trying the studded single saddle from Hitchcocks with a rack behind, just because I like the look of it. I know that Corbin are making their Gunfighter seat for the Electra (G5 in USA) but it'll be expensive. I have one on my W650 and although it seems hard at first, it's helluva comfortable on a long ride.
LOTS of info on these bikes over at the CMW forum by the way.

Most of the problems are that footrests are about 6" too far forward and the suspension is rubbish.
Move the footrests back and comfort becomes bearable, fixing the suspension is only possible by changing the bike.

On the other hand - I find most bike's footrests are too far back and the Enfield's are about right - horses for courses. I have a single sprung saddle which compensates for the rubbish suspension.
