misfiring.....cured!

Hi all, Just thought I’d pass on this misfiring problem which occurred to me recently, and thankfully I managed to cure.
My bike is a 2003 Bullet ’65 and was misfiring badly and then not firing at all at high revs in all gears. On rolling back the throttle it ran as normal. The problem was caused by the air intake to the carburettor being restricted as it demanded more air at high revs .The culprit was the rubber connector hose from the back of the triangular air filter box to the rectangular resonator box. It had perished and split and when subjected to high suction was actually closing itself down and restricting the air flow.
I bought a new connector from our hosts and fitted it, which was fun………
Upshot was that the misfiring is now completely cured and it goes like a good ‘un again.
Maybe something to remember if it ever happens to you.
Just goes to show how every problem has a solution….eventually!
