Thanks Steve. It's the small Harley one. I thought that being for two cylinders they would get the revs wrong (?) - can they be configured for one cylinder then? Jeff.

Jef I run a boyer mk IV ignition which is a wasted spark so reads correctly.

the seller uses this site for his supplies so if you have look through the catalogue you may find something. When I was looking around I did find a switchable one but can't remember where. The wiring is a piece of cake

I do have a tacho but it is the huge Smiths one which is very expensive. It will not fit the usual top of fork on the C5 but one can get around that by fashioning a handlebar mount. I won't change it unless it breaks but a smaller and indeed cheaper device looks more sensible.
The Smiths tacho is set to single cylinder and shows correct reading, thus I think we can assume the EFI's ecu is not providing a "wasted spark".
