Whatever model it requires the hands of a surgeon and the patience of a saint to get it through the casquette.

You will need a pair of these to unhook the gearbox end of the cable:-

Those pliers look nice. You may find large curved nose surgical forceps aka fish disgorgers, easier to source.

I have pliers like that, but the ends point upwards.

Yes Leon I expect they would in your part of the world, a bit like screwdrivers they don't make left handed ones,
