Out on the 535 yesterday and suddenly noticed my lights had stopped working. They were working on the early part of the journey but then fused.
Changed the fuse when I got home but obviously, something has caused this to happen, any ideas???

Same thing has happened this evening too.
Something must be touching somewhere.

Are these the original fuses? If so then ditch the lot and replace them. Take a look at the aluminium fuse strip. If it looks powdery it is corroded and will blow at a lot lower current than it says on the fuse..
Light stopped working due to fuse - do check the instrument lights, they can fail in a way that shorts the circuit, blows the fuse and takes the lights out. The original instrument bulbs are a poor fit in their sockets which helps not at all.

An intermittent short is usually where we have movement on the wire. Check around the steering head and inside the headlamp shell.
