Hi All,

I've decided to re-wire my Super Meteor after battery draining and earthing problems. It was upgraded to 12 volt sometime in the 1980s, with no further information from the previous owner on what was installed, apart from what I think is a Shindengen rectifier/regulator. So i'm working in the dark here...

Does anyone have experience in a similar Enfield twin upgrade, or even have a wiring diagram for 12v?

Much appreciation,

Tom

If it was rewired 30 years ago it could be due for a bit of attention. Any BSA/Triumph twin late 60's wiring diagram could be adapted to your switchgear, and you can ignore the zener diode bit if you fit a new reg/rectifier unit.

Hi Zelda

I'm with Adrian on this - time for a re-wire! If you go with Adrian's other suggestion and fit a new Reg/Rect unit, I have a wiring diagram that might help. It's how I wired my Connie up on the same basis so should be ideal. Email me stephen_herbert'at'btopenworld'dot'com and I'll send you a PDF file with my setup. Please note mine also has indicators fitted, but if yours hasn't, just ignore those bits!

Best of luck

Stephen
